Zamalek booked a place in the final of the CAF Champions league after defeating Raja Casablanca 3-1 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate, making their first final since 2016 when they lost to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The result meant that the Egyptian club will play bitterest rivals Al Ahly in the final slated for November 27 at Borg el Arab Stadium in Alexandria. Al Ahly had already sealed a place in the final after they defeated Wydad Athletic Club 5-1 on aggregate.
