Ghanaian midfielder Winful Cobbinah has revealed why he left KF Tirana in an emotional message after sealing a move to Ceramica Cleopatra FC.
Cobbinah after spending two years with KF Tirana and in the process helping them to win the Albanian top flight league for the first time in over a decade has left the club to sign for Egyptian fold Ceramica Cleopatra FC.
The 29-year-old after signing for the newly promoted Egyptian side took to Instagram to pen an emotional message to the fans of his former outfit.
In the message, he divulged the reason why he left the Albanian fold, stating that it was “due to the pressure he was feeling lately.”
If it could be recalled, Cobbinah was dragged to an Albanian court for allegedly forging documents to receive Albania passport. An allegation he has stated he’s innocent of.
“Today i signed a very important agreement for my career. I take this bittersweet moment to notify my leave from kF Tirana. A team that has given me so much, my home away from home,” Cobinnah wrote on Instagram.
“Due to the pressure i was feeling lately. I made the choice to leave and grow professionally somewhere else. I am forever grateful to kf Tirana and the staff for putting my well being in priority and i thank them for the memories of a great season we left behind.
“This is not a goodbye, my wish is to come back and close my career here, until then, sending love to all my white and blue fans, also to Goldi, EDI, INA and to all the special people in TIRONA.
