Dreams FC suffered a 2-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the first game of the second round of the season at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
In the first half of the game, Ali Huzaif was presented with two big chances to give Dreams FC the lead. However, the center-forward missed both chances.
At half time of the game, head coach of Dreams, Karim Zito divulged that he told Ali Huzaif to stop dreaming and put the ball in the net because that’s his responsibility.
“I told him, look you have to stop dreaming, it is you Ali who’s playing and we created the opportunities for you to score, you have to put the ball in the net not me,” Karim Zito told StarTimes after the game.
He added: “That is why I always say it is injustice to judge a coaches by results. If they didn’t perform well it’s my problem but putting the ball into the net as I said is the player not me.
Huzaif returned from the break and went on to miss another big chance. He was finally replaced in the second half as Dreams FC lost 2-0 to Asante Kotoko, courtesy goals from Frank Etouga.
