English Premier League side, West Ham United have reached an agreement with Ajax to sign Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus for €44.5million.

The deal was agreed minutes ago between the Technical Director of West Ham, Tim Steidten and that of Ajax, Sven Mislintat in Bulgaria, where Kudus played his last game for Ajax and scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 win against Ludogorets in the Europa League qualifier.

Mohammed Kudus is scheduled to fly to London on Saturday to complete his move to the London clu. The 23-year-old midfielder will do a medical and sign a five-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

West Ham have agreed to pay Ajax €41.5m plus €3m in add-ons, with the Eredivisie club retaining a 10 per cent sell-on clause.

When quizzed about the deal earlier today, West Ham manager, David Moyes said: “He’s not our player but I did watch his hat-trick last night.”

Kudus signed off with Ajax yesterday with a hat-trick in a 4-1. The goals raised his goal scoring tally since arriving from Nordsjaelland in 2020 to 27 in 87 appearances in all competitions.

The 23-year old has also scored 7 goals in 24 appearances for Ghana, including two against South Korea in the group stages of the World Cup in Qatar in November.
