“We will beat Nigeria home and away, write it down” – Richard Kingson beats war drums ahead of World Cup playoff

Goalkeepers trainer of the Black Stars Richard Kingson has tipped his outfit to beat Nigeria in both games of the 2022 World Cup playoff.

The Black Stars will take on their bitterest rivals Nigeria in March for a place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be played in Qatar.

Ahead of the game, Richard Kingson who has memories of playing against Nigeria has tipped Ghana to win the tie, adding that he doesn’t see any threat in the Nigeria team.

“Our last performance is what has given me the confidence that if we are able to improve, we will beat Nigeria home and away,” the former Black Stars goalkeeper said on Hot FM.

“The way we played 10 against 11, if we are able to build on that, we will beat Nigeria home and away; write it down because I don’t see any threat in Nigeria’s team,” Kingson added.

The first leg of the World Cup playoff will take place at the Cape Coast stadium on Friday, March 25 and the second leg at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

A win against Nigeria will earn Ghana a place a the 2022 World Cup to be played in Qatar between 21 November to 18 December.
