Medeama midfielder Rashid Nortey has divulged his desire to see the Ghana Premier league (GPL) resume.

The Ghana Premier league was suspended in March due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

The unfortunate and unanticipated event has kept the future of the GPL up in the air, with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) expected to make a decision at least by June 30.

Speaking in an interview with Takoradi based radio station, Radio Premier, the midfield Dynamo disclosed his desire to see football resume even if it’ll be played behind closed doors.

“Football is played with supporters but if we are told to play behind closed doors we are cool. The best thing for Medeama is to clinch the 3 points after the game.

“Our coaches have given us a training schedules which we go according to it but i prefer group training than individual.

Rashid also affirmed the team’s promise to club owner Moses Armah to win the league and how 2 unanticipated circumstances is hindering that.

“We have promised our team owner to win the Ghana Premier League title for him. Immediately we top the league we encounter programs, we were on top of the league before Anas Number 12 expose and leading this year League but covid 19 outbreaks has put things on hold.

Defeating Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko maybe not be something new to Medeama as they’ve beaten both clubs in the suspended league season, but Rashid Nortey insist they are ready to hurt the two clubs even further when the league resumes.

“I wish we continue the Ghana Premier League because we are ready to whip Asante Kotoko Sporting Club and Accra Hearts of Oak when the league resumes”, he concluded.
