Daniel Lartey, a Ghanaian boxing trainer has challenged Isaac Dogbe to a super bantamweight bout against his boxer Wasiru Mohammed, popularly known as “Gyatabi”.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Enoch Kofi Adadevoh on Awake TV, the experienced boxing trainer emphatically stated that he’s a better trainer than Paul Dogbe, who happens to be the father and former trainer of erstwhile WBO Super Bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe.
“I have experience more than Paul Dogbe and I have trained a lot of boxers, everyone knows me here in Ghana. Duke Micah, Frederick Lawson and even the great Joseph Agbeko are all my products”, Daniel Lartey told Awake TV.
When quizzed if Wasiru Mohammed (12 fights – 11 KOs – 0 defeat) could beat Isaac Dogbe (23 fights – 15 KOs – 2 defeats), Daniel Lartey stated that talks of Isaac Dogbe beating Wasiru are just mere talks and the ring will do the talking should a bout be scheduled between the two.
“If you see the records of Wasiru, people who haven’t been knocked down in their career have all been knocked down in round one by Wasiru. And I’m sometimes left surprised.
“And for Isaac Dogbe, if he wants to fall down and kiss the canvas just like the Americans say, I will let him kiss the canvas.
Looking straight into the cameras of Awake Tv, the experienced boxing trainer bragged that he’s by far a better trainer than Paul Dogbe, adding that he has trained 1000 and 1 boxers, and no one can beat him with the vast experience he has in the sports.
Wasiru Mohammed currently holds the WBO Global super bantamweight belt and is ranked seventh by the sanctioning body.
