Ghanaian international Tariq Lamptey provided two assists for Brighton in a 3-1 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford, ending a run of 20 league games at the ground without a defeat.

Tariq Lamptey who recently recuperated from an injury was handed a rare starting role at left-back, coming in for Ecuadorian international, Pervis Estupinan.

Brighton after surviving early pressure from Manchester United went ahead in the 20th minute, an unmarked Danny Welbeck fired in a pass from Simon Adingra.

The Seagulls doubled their lead at the start of the second half. Tariq Lamptey picked up Pascal Groß pounced who feinted to deceive Lisandro Martínez, before planting the ball home.

Brighton made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute, João Pedro hit a first-time shot from the edge of the box after he was picked out by Tariq Lamptey.

Two minutes later, United pulled a goal back through a fine effort from Hannibal Mejbri, but it was late for them to mount a comeback as Brighton held on to win 3-1, recording a fourth successive league win against United.
