Former Inter Allies midfielder Prosper Kassim was on target for Birmingham Legion, but suffered a 4-2 defeat in the hands of Tampa Bay Rowdies in the quarterfinals of the UCL Championship playoffs.
Prosper Kassim was handed a start for his scintillating performances in the regular season.
Tampa Bay opened the scoring in the 8th minute through Jordan Doherty. Sebastian Guenzatti made it 2-0 in the 38th minute.
Prosper Kassim halved the scoreline in the 57th minute with a decent volley from a good cross.
Birmingham Legion made it 2-2 in the 63rd minute through Brazilian international Bruno Lapa.
Lucky Mkosana scored in the 78th minute to give Tampa Bay the advantage, before Leo Fernandes scored in the 80th minute to put the game out of Birmingham Legion’s reach.
The game ended 4-2, with Prosper Kassim lasting the entire duration. Compatriot Anderson Asiedu and Razak Cromwell also lasted the entire duration.
