Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus scored a hat-trick for Ajax in the first leg of the final qualifying round of the Europa League.

Mohammed Kudus opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a shot from outside the box. Two minutes later, the 23-year old doubled the lead, smashing a low shot into the bottom left corner.

Ajax continued to control the game and scored the 3rd goal with 6 minutes to the halftime break, Brain Brobbey scored with a header from close range.

In the 50th minute, Mohammed Kudus scored again to complete his hat-trick and make it 4-0 for Ajax. The midfielder rifled a shot into the bottom left corner after receiving a pass from Steven Bergwijn.

Olivier Verdon scored from a spot-kick in the 70th minute to reduce the deficit and give themselves hope of a comeback, but Ajax held on to win 4-1.

The hat-trick from Kudus raises his goal scoring tally this season to four goals and an assist in three games in all competitions.

Kudus is likely to live Ajax in the coming days, with reports stipulating that the club is on the verge of reaching an agreement with West Ham United over his transfer.
