Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus continued his fine form for Ajax with a brace in a 5-0 mauling of Heereveen at the Johan Cruijff Arena on Saturday evening.
Mohammed Kudus after impressing earlier this week in the opening Group A game of the UEFA Champions League against Rangers was rewarded with another starting role by Head Coach Albert Schreuder.
Ajax had a fast start to the game, taking the lead in the 4th minute through Davy Klaassen. Kenneth Taylor made it 2-0 in the 16th minute.
Just minutes into the second half, Mohammed Kudus hammered in a loose ball to make it 3-0.
The Ghanaian international made it 4-0 in the 59th minute, tapping home a pass from Jorge Sanchez into a yawning net.
Dutch-born Ghanaian international Brian Brobbey came off the bench to round the game off with the 5th in the 70th minute.
With sights already on Tuesday’s Champions League game against Liverpool at Anfield, Mohammed Kudus was subbed off in the 72nd minute.
