Posted by Medeama commenced the second round of the ongoing betPawa Premier League with a 2-0 victory against Legon Cities at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.
The Mauves and Yellows after dominating most parts of the first half opened the scoring in the 40th minute. Nurudeen Abdulai’s low shot beat goalkeeper Sylvester Sackey at his near post.
Legon Cities stepped their performance up in the second but they were unfortunately caught on the break in the 70th minute. Joshua Agyemang tapped the ball into a yawning after he was set up by Kwasi Donsu.
The remaining minutes of the game saw no goals as it ended 2-0. The win sends Medeama into 6th place with 27 points, while Legon Cities remain in 15th place with 21 points.
