Ghanaian defender Kasim Adams scored in extra-time to send FC Basel into the semifinal of the UEFA Europa Conference League, edging French side OGC Nice 2-1 on the night and 4-3 on aggregate.
After a 2-2 draw in the first leg, Nice opened the scoring after just 9 minutes into the return encounter at the Allianz Riviera Stadium, Gaetan Laborde the scorer.
Later in the game, erstwhile PSG forward Jean-Kevin Augustin scored for FC Basel to make it 1-1 and send the game into extra-time.
In the 8th minute of extra-time, Kasim Adams scored to make it 2-1 on the night and 4-3 on aggregate. The Ghanaian center back leapt high to head in a precise crossing Darian Males.

Kasim Adams played the entire 120 minutes for FC Basel, while compatriot Emmanuel Essiam came on in the second half of extra-time for Toulan Xhaka.
FC Basel will face Fiorentina in the semifinal of the European Competition. The second semifinal will see West Ham face AZ Alkmaar.
