VIDEO: Joseph Paul Amoah advances to the final of the men’s 200m at the Commonwealth games

Ghana 200m record holder Joseph Paul Amoah has made it to the final of the men’s 200m at the ongoing Commonwealth games in Birmingham.

Joseph Paul Amoah finished second in heat three in a time of 20.51s, behind favourite Jereem Richards of Trinidad and Tobago.

The 25-year old will now compete in the final scheduled for 8:13pm on Saturday with the likes of Zharnel Hughes, Jereem Richards, Udodi Chudi Onwuzurike, Brendon Rodney, Emmanuel Eseme, Sibusiso Matsenjwa and Shajar Abbas.

Amoah will be hoping to grab Ghana’s first medal in the sprints after Benjamin Azamati narrowly missed out in the 100m final.
