Posted by Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil scored a brace for KRC Genk in a 3-1 away win against Club Brugge in the Championship playoff of the Belgian Pro League on Saturday.
Joseph Paintsil shot Genk into the lead after 12 minutes of play, hammering in a headed pass from Tolu Arokodare.
In the 64th minute, Hans Vanaken scored to bring Club Brugge level. Genk regained the lead in the 81st minute through Patrik Hrosovsky, before scoring the 3rd five minutes later through Joseph Paintsil.
The brace increases Joseph Paintsil’s goal contributions in the Belgium topflight league this season to 17 goals and 14 assists.
Genk will face Royals Antwerp in the final game of the season in a game which could decide the winner of the league title.
