Posted by Ghanaian international, Jordan Ayew provided an assist for Crystal Palace in their opening game of the 2023/24 English Premier League season.
Jordan Ayew was handed a starting role and lasted the entire duration for Crystal Palace in a 1-0 win against Sheffield United at Bramal Lane.
Crystal Palace dominate first 45 minutes of the game but failed to break the deadlock as the game went to the break scoreless. Jordan Ayew had the ball at the back of the net but the goal was ruled for offside.
Few minutes into the second half, Crystal Palace opened the scoring, Jordan Ayew’s quick feet bought him a yard of space on the right, and his fearsome ball across goal was turned home by Odsonne Edouard.
In the remaining minutes of the game, Palace created numerous chances to double their lead but failed to take the chances, Odsonne Edouard had a goal ruled for offside and Joachim Anderson was smartly kept out by the goalkeeper.
The 1-0 win puts both Ayew and Crystal Palace on course for the season on the opening day.
