Ghana’s men’s 4x100m relay team booked a place in the final of the 2022 World Athletic Championship in America after finishing 3rd in what was a pulsating run.
The quartet of Sean Safo-Antwi, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Oduro Manu and Joseph Paul Amoah finished 3rd in a time of 38.58s.
Ghana got down to business with Sean Safo-Antwi, before National 100m record holder Benjamin Azamati’s blistering run set Joseph Oduro Manu for what a tedious turn.
The handoff from Joseph Oduro Manu to Joseph Paul Amoah was far from perfect but the 200m National champion powered through by running at 8.92 seconds get the baton home safely.

Ghana is joined in the final by United States and Great Britain who finished first and second respectively from the Heat.
In Heat two, France finished first, Canada second and South Africa third. Jamaica and Brazil also secured a place in the final as the next two fastest finishers.
The final which is scheduled for July 23 at 00:40 am will see Ghana compete with United States, Great Britain, France, Canada, South Africa, Jamaica and Brazil.
