Former Asante Kotoko forward Dauda Mohammed scored twice for Cartagena on Friday night but it wasn’t enough to save them from a 3-2 defeat in the hands of Real Valladolid.

Dauda Mohammed was handed a starting role but Cartagena found themselves a goal down just a minute after kickoff, Toni Villa the goal scorer.

Two minutes later, Dauda Mohammed pulled parity for his side. Real Valladolid regained the lead in the 33rd minute through Shon Weissman.

In the 73rd minute, Dauda Mohammed scored to make it 2-2, finishing off a pass from Alex Gallar. However, the joy was short lived as Anuar scored in the 82nd minute to hand Real Valladolid a 3-2 lead.

The Ghanaian international was replaced in the 83rd minute as Valladolid battled for the equalizer but to no avail.

Dauda Mohammed who joined Cartegna on a year loan deal from Anderlecht at the start of the ongoing season has now scored 6 times for from 16 starts for the Spanish Segunda side.
