VIDEO: Daniel Amartey scores on debut for Besiktas in the UEFA Conference League

Black Stars center-back, Daniel Amartey was on target for Besiktas on his debut for the team against Albanian side KF Tirana in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Amartey who arrived at the club this summer as a free agent was named only on the bench for the second leg of the second round of the European club competition after winning the first leg 3-1 in Turkey.

The former Leicester center-back was subbed on for his debut at the start of the second half, coming on for Necip Uysal. Eleven minutes later, Amartey announced his arrival when he headed home a flick from Salih Ucan to give Besiktas the lead on the night.

In the 76th minute, Vincent Abubakar made it 2-0 for Besiktas, taking advantage of a miscommunication at the back to hit in a sweet volley, securing a 2-0 win on the night and 5-1 aggregate win for Besiktas.

The win sends Besiktas into the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League, where they’ll come up against Neftçi PFK of Azerbaijan.
