Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong marked his 27th birthday with a brace against Shenzen Kaisa in the Chinese Super League play-off.
Acheampong started the game and lasted the entire duration in the first round and first leg of the Chinese Super League play-off.
The Ghanaian winger gave his side the lead in the 4th minute. He pounced on a mistake by the Shenzen Kaisa defense and calmly planted the ball home.
The birthday boy made it 2-0 for Tianjin TEDA in the 51st minute, he controlled a long ball from Kaimu Zheng, made a good run into the 18-yard box and finished off beautifully.
The game ended 2-0, Tianjin TEDA FC with the advantage for the return leg against Shenzhen Kaisa FC which has been scheduled to be played on October 21, 2020 at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre.
Frank Acheampong, who’s aiming at making a return to the Black Stars has now featured in 13 games for Tianjin this season, scoring twice and providing an assist.
