Ghana’s 100m record holder Benjamin Azamati has made it to the final of the men’s 100m of the ongoing Commonwealth games in Birmingham.
Benjamin Azamati finished 3rd in heat three in a time of 10.18s, behind England’s Netheneel Mitchel-Blake and Jeremiah Azu of Wales.
The 24-year old finished failed to secure two of the automatic qualification places. However, he made it to the final as one of the best 2 finishes outside the top two automatic qualification places.

Meanwhile, compatriot Sean Sarfo-Antwi failed to make it to the finals after finishing 5th in heat 2 at a time of 10.36s.
Benjamin Azamati will now compete in the final with Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala, South Africa’s Akani Simbine, Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake of England, Emmanuel Eseme of Cameroon, Jeremiah Azu of Wales, Australia’s Rohan Browning and Yupun Abekyoon of Sri Lanka.

The final is scheduled for 20:30 GMT today.
