Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman displayed a faultless performance for Greece giants PAOK in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europe Conference League against Bietar Jerusalem Toumbo Stadium on Thursday.
Baba Rahman lasted the entire duration in what was his second official debut for the team since arriving on a free transfer following the mutual termination of his contract with Chelsea.
The Ghanaian who was making a return to the team he played on loan in the 2020/21 season was a joy to watch on the left flank throughout the game, combining defending and attacking perfectly. However PAOK failed to grab the desired results.
The Greek side were held at home to a scoreless draw by a resilient and impregnable Bietar Jerusalem team. PAOK missed numerous chances, including a penalty in the 11th minute.
The return encounter between the two sides will come off on Thursday, August 3 at the Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem, where Baba Rahman and his teammates will be hoping to put aside their poor show in the first leg and win to secure a place in the next round.
