VIDEO: André Ayew scores late to earn Swansea City a point against Brentford

André Ayew scored late to ensure that Swansea City remain unbeaten on the road in the Championship this season as they drew 1-1 against Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium.

The Ghanaian skipper was handed a start and nearly gave Swansea City the lead in the 3rd minute, he failed to capitalize on an error by Charlie Goodie.

Brentford controlled most parts of the first half and took a deserving lead in the 36th minute, Championship leading scorer Ivan Toney netted from close range for his 10th goal of the season.

Swansea City grew into the game in the second half and had the equalizing goal in the 76th minute, Ayew scored from six yards to make it 1-1.

The Ghanaian international had the ball in the net in stoppage time but his header was ruled out for offside.

The game ended 1-1, Swansea City maintained their unbeaten run on the road and currently sit 2nd on the table.

Ayew has featured in 10 league games this season for Swansea City, scoring 5 goals and providing an assist.

Compatriot Tarique Fosu-Henry watched the entire game from the bench.

The duo have been handed call-ups by Black Stars manager, CK Akonnor for this month’s African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan.
