VIDEO: André Ayew channels his inner Maradona to score on injury return

Black Stars skipper André Ayew made his return from injury and found the net in Swansea City’s 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday night.

Ayew picked up an injury during international assignment with the Black Stars and was missing out of action in Swansea City’s 1-0 victory against Rotterdam United over the weekend.

The Swansea talisman recovered in time for this game, but started the game on the bench.

Swansea found themselves a goal down at the interval, Adam Reach scored the goal for Sheffield Wednesday in the 27th minute.

Ayew was introduced into the game at the break, and made his presence count in the 60th minute. He dummied the defenders and curled the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 1-1.

Ayew nearly handed the host all three points in the dying embers of the game, his effort was kept out by the goalkeeper.

The 30-year-old has now featured in 12 games for Swansea City, scoring 6 times and providing an assist.
