Posted by Accra Lions defeated new boys Tamale City 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to record their second win of the season.
Accra Lions after a decent start to the game broke the deadlock in the 10th minute through Dominic Nsobila. The skipper hammered in a volley from the edge of the box.
In the 36th minute, Tamale City thought they had level the score when Isaac Mensah tapped the ball into the net from close range, but he was disappointed to see the goal ruled out for offside.
The second half of the game saw no goals, but wasn’t without excitement. Both teams pushed bodies forward for a goal but to no avail.
