Twenty five (25) players report to camp on opening day as Black Stars commence preparations for Madagascar AFCON qualifier

Ghana have a full house for the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Madagascar this weekend.

The team of 25 players reported to camp earlier today at the Swiss Spirits Alisa Hotels in Accra.

Amongst the 25 players are Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer, Kasim Adams Nuhu and Hafiz Konkoni who were not in the initial squad but were handed late call-ups.

Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer and Kasim Adams were handed call-ups as replacements for Inaki Williams and Alexander Djiku who have both been ruled out of the game due to injuries, while Hafiz Konkoni was brought in to augment the team’s attack.

The team will hold its first training today at the Accra Sports Stadium as preparations get underway for the AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar.

The game is scheduled for Sunday, June 18, 2023 at the Stade Kianja Barea in Antananarivo.

Ghana go into the game sitting on top of their Africa Cup of Nations Cote D’Ivoire 2023 qualifying group with 8 points after two wins and two draws in the first four matches.
