Twenty (20) Black Satellites land in Côte d’Ivoire for WAFU Zone B Boys Cup of Nations [Check squad]

The Black Satellites (Male U-20) team landed in Côte d’Ivoire on Thursday, July 6 for the 2022 WAFU Zone B Boys Cup of Nations.

Ghana at the WAFU competition will be led by the Samuel Boadu and will be hoping to win back the hearts of Ghanaian football lovers following their group stage at the previous edition of the competition played in Niger and won by Nigeria.

In Samuel Boadu’s squad for the competition are the likes of Clinton Doudu and Aaron Essel of Bechem United, Shadrack Addo of Asante Kotoko, Collins Boah and Ofori McCarthy of Dreams FC, Berekum Chelsea’s Asamoah Edwin Kuffuor and so on.

Also in the squad is Abdul Aziz Musibau who recently qualified Still Believe in the Division One League, in the process winning the best player and top scorer of the GARFA Division Two middle league.

Ghana at the WAFU competition are drawn in Group A alongside host nation Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Niger.

The Black Satellites will kickoff their campaign on Friday, July 7, before playing Burkina Faso on Monday, July 10 and Côte d’Ivoire on Thursday, July 13.

Group B of the competition which will be played from Friday, July 7 to Friday, June 21, 2023 will have only Benin and Togo following Nigeria’s withdrawal.
