The Division One League Super Cup continued today at the Madina Astro Turf, with the second round of games in Group A taking place.
The first game of the day between Tema Youth SC and Premier League new boys Bibiani Gold Stars SC ended 1-0 in favor of Tema Youth. Evans Osei Wusu scored the only goal of the game in the 68th minute.
In the second game, Skyy FC showed no mercy as they thrashed Bofoakwa Tano FC 4-0 and as well dumped them out of the competition.
Baba Musah Hamadu opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a fine effort. Francis Oteng Gyetuah doubled his side’s lead in the 68th minute from the spot kick.
In the 85th minute, Ebenezer Mamatah made it 3-0, before Isaac Afful made it 4-0 in additional time.
Today’s results means that Tema Youth have advanced to the semifinal of the competition with 6 points from 2 games. Skyy FC remain in 2nd place with 4 points and will battle for the final slot in the semi final for Group A with Gold Stars who have a point.
For Bofoakwa Tano, it’s all over for them as they sit bottom of the group with no point from 2 games.
The competition will continue tomorrow, the first game of the day will see Berekum Arsenal face Accra Lions, before Samartex 1996 lock horns with Real Tamale United (RTU).
