Sensational youngster, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has flown out of Ghana to complete a move to Portuguese top-flight side, Sporting Lisbon.
The youngster has reportedly signed for the Portuguese giants on a long-term contract from Ghana Division One side Steadfast FC.
As part of the 17-year old’s development, he will commence training with Sporting’s U23 side and will join the senior side after celebrating his 18th birthday in March.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku rose to the prominence during the African Youth Championship (U-20) staged last year in Mauritania. The youngster at the tourney which was won by Ghana was named most valuable player.
Fatawu had a stint with Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC, where he managed to score 6 goals in 7 matches and was named NASCO player of the month of November.
He was part of the team that represented Ghana at the just ended African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon, where Ghana endured its worst display in the history of the competition.
Fatawu Issahaku before signing for Sporting Lisbon was heavily touted by a plethora of clubs in Europe including Bayern Leverkusen, Liverpool, Ajax, RedBull Salzburg and so on.
