Slovakian giants SK Slovan Bratislava have announced the signings of Ghanaian duo Zuberu Sharani and Malik Abubakari.
Zuberu Sharani joins the Slovakian league holders on a year deal as a free agent after leaving Dunajská Streda in June 2022.
The forward had been training with the Bratislava-based side since November 2022 and was seen in action in the winter preparatory matches, scoring a goal in three appearances.
Zuberu first played in Europe for Sparta Prague from Ghanaian side Dreams FC. He was productive in the reserve team, but did not get a chance in the first team.
The 23-year then moved to Dunajská Streda in 2019, where he made 41 league appearances and scored 5 goals. During his time with Streda, Sharani spent time on loan with Zemplín Michalovce and Šamorín.

Malik Abubakari also arrives at Slovan Bratislava from Swedish fold Malmö FF on loan until the end of the calendar year 2023 with an option for a permanent transfer.
Slovan Bratislava will be Malik’s sixth club since arriving to Europe in 2018 from Ghanaian side Charity Stars. The 22-year old forward has played for the youth side of Vizela, Moreirense, Fafa, Casa Pia, Malmo and HJK Helsinki.
Despite being only 22, Malik comes to Bratislava with rich experience, having played a key role in Helsinki and Malmo’s league triumph and also the Swedish Cup triumph for Malmo.
