Samuel Eto’o names his best three African players of all-time

Cameroonian legend and President of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot), Samuel Eto’o has named his best three African players of all-time.

According to the four-time African player of the year award winner, the continent has produced some quality players, but believes compatriot Rodger Milla, former Ballon D’or winner George Weah and Ghana’s greatest Abedi Pele are top of the list.

The former Barcelona forward went on to give special mentions to Emmanuel Adebayor, Yaya Toure, Didier Drogba and Michael Essien.

“In the first position, I have three names. It’s difficult to make a choice. I have Roger Milla, George Weah, Abedi Pele. When I was a child, these three big names were incredible,” said Eto’o in an interview with GhOne.

“Apart from that, there’s Adebayor, Yaya Toure, Drogba, Michael Essien. We have a lot of names”, he added.

Samuel Eto’o who’s the Qatar Legacy Ambassador spent two days in Ghana. The Cameroonian legend during his stay engaged with the Ghana Football Association, supporters and the media as part of the build up to the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
