Milovan Cirkovic named a strong team for the game. Kwadwo Amoako, Appiah Mc Carthy, David Abagna, Empem Dacosta, Hans Kwoffie and Yaw Annor were handed starts.

AshantiGold dominated the entire first half and came close to scoring through David Abagna and Appiah McCarthy, but it was the away side who had the best chance of the half. They struck the post in the dying embers of the first half.
The Miners continued the second half just like they did in the first. Hans Kwoffie, Appiah MacCarthy, Yaw Annor and David Abagna threatened the opposition throughout the half but failed to hit the back of the net.
The game ended 0-0. AshantiGold will travel to Burkina Faso for the second leg on December 5.
