Posted by Tarkwa-based side Rospak SC has defeated Famous Ghanaian Highlife musician, Kofi Kinaata’s Team Move 3-0 in the final of the Western Region Division Middle League to secure a place in the upcoming Access Bank Division One League.
Rospak SC, the team owned by the wife of Ghana Premier League Champions Medeama SC, President Mr Moses Armah were unbreakable throughout the Middle League, winning against Bis Paradise and Aboi Young Stars in the group stages
The Tarkwa-based side caused a big upset in the semifinal by beating Fijai Soccer Academy 1-0 to set up a date with Kofi Kinaata’s, Team Move in the final.
In the final at the Sekondi Gyandu Park, Rospak FC won 3-0, courtesy a pile driver from Michael Akuakoh in the dying minutes of the first half and a brace from Rashid Yusif in the second half.
The win means Rospak SC have secured promotion to the Access Bank Division One League, where they’ll play in Zone Two.
Meanwhile, the 2023/24 Access Bank Ghana Division One League will kick off from Wednesday, October 4 to Monday, October 9, 2023 across all Zones.
The fixtures for the league is expected to be announced next month.
