Reports coming in from credible media outlets indicates that Asante Kotoko is soon expected to announce Nana Yaw Amponsah as new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

After an administrative reshuffle, the Porcupine Warriors in June announced the end of George Amoako’s (now King Faisal’s CEO) tenure as CEO of the club.

Since then, the Porcupine warriors have been on the hunt for a new CEO as the club hopes to look into a new direction. As the club aims at winning trophies again and doing well in Africa like the club previously did in the 70’s and 80’s.

Owner and President of Division One League club Phar Rangers FC, Nana Yaw Amponsah was favorite to land the job, but speaking in an interview with Opemsuo FM last month, Special Assistant to the Chief of staff of the Manhyia Palace, Kwame Aboagye Mensah revealed that the young football administrator has been rejected by Manhyia, stating he can’t keep a secret.

However, per reports from sports journalist Owusu Bempah Ayala, the Porcupine Warriors have made a U-turn and are in the coming days expected to announce the promising football administrator as new CEO in the coming days.

Nana Yaw Amponsah will replace board member Joseph Yaw Adu who’s currently the acting CEO of the club.
