English Premier League side Everton are in advanced talks to sign Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus from Ajax Amsterdam, according to a report from Football Insider.
Per the report, Everton are close to a breakthrough in their pursuit of the 22-year-old following negotiations on Friday.
The Toffees are in the market in search for attacking reinforcements having lost Richarlison to Tottenham and might lose Anthony Gordon and Dele Alli to Chelsea and Besiktas respectively.
Mohammed Kudus is highly rated at Ajax but has struggled to break into the starting eleven since joining from Danish fold Nordsjaelland in 2020.
The Ghanaian midfielder has been limited to only 12 league starts at the club, with injuries also having an affect.
The reports from Football Insider adds that Ajax are willing to let Mohammed Kudus leave should Everton match their valuation for the player.
Kudus is also said to be interested in the move as it offers him a more chance of playing and as well cementing a place in the Ghana national team ahead of the 2022 World Cup to be played in Qatar later this year.
