Probable Ghana’s 26-man squad for the World Cup

The Black Stars of Ghana are amongst 32 teams to feature at the 2022 World Cup which is set to kick off on Sunday, November 20, 2022. 

Head Coach of the team, Otto Addo a fortnight ago named a 55-man provisional list. The list will be curtailed down on Monday, November 14.

Ahead of that, here are some predictions on who could make the squad based on the recent call-ups, form, injury news and reports.

The squad is expected to be dominated by players who were called up for the friendly games against Brazil and Nicaragua.

The likes of Andre Ayew, Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Salisu, Jordan Ayew, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Kudus and so on are expected to make the squad.

Per reports, RSC Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru, KRC Genk forward Joseph Painstil, Cremonese’s Felix Afena-Gyan will not make the squad.

Further reports also indicates that Crystal Palace’s Jeffrey Schlupp and Eupen’s Mubarak Wakaso will not make the squad, while Daniel Afriyie, Abdul Samed Salis and Kamal Sowah have reportedly been included in the final squad.
