An end to what was an enthralling maiden edition of the Division One League Super Cup.
The competition was specially created for the best performing clubs in the Division One League, that is the winners of each zone, second placed teams in each zone and two of the third best placed teams at the end of every season.
It was also created to give Division One clubs more games outside the League and as well serve as a preparatory ground for the clubs ahead of a new season.
The main edition was contested by the three newly promoted Premier League sides; Real Tamale United (RTU), Bibiani Gold Stars and Accra Lions.
They were joined by Tano Bofoakwa, Skyy FC, Tema Youth, Berekum Arsenals and FC Samartex 1996.
The competition lasted for 11 days and at the end Skyy FC emerged winners, beating Tema Youth SC 7-6 on penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw game in the final.
Premier League new boys Accra Lions also secured 3rd spot, beating Samartex 1996 3-1.
For winning the competition, Skyy FC received GHC 15,000 as Prize money and 30 gold medals. Second placed Tema Youth received GHC 8,000 and 30 silver medals.
Third placed Accra Lions as well received GHC 5,000 and 30 bronze medals.
Meanwhile, the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League will kickoff on Friday, October 29, 2021 and the Division One League on Friday, November 12, 2021.
