Paris 2024 Olympic Games Qualifiers: Black Queens see off Guinea to take advantage into the second leg of the first round

The Black Queens defeated their Guinean counterparts 3-0 in Conakry to take advantage into the second leg of the first round of the qualifiers of the Paris 2024 Olympics Games.

Head Coach Nora Häuptle named a line-up which featured Cynthia Findiib Konlan, skipper Janet Egyir, Susan Duah, Jennifer Cudjoe, Evelyn Badu, Doris Boaduwaa and so on.

The Black Queens had a fast start to the game and opened the scoring in the 19th minute, ‪Vivian Adjei Konadu‬ pounced on an error by the goalkeeper to give her side the lead.

Ghana continued to put their opponents under pressure and doubled the lead before the half-time break. Doris Boaduwaa scored in the 27th minute.

Just three minutes into the second half, the Guineans were reduced to 10 players, Camara Manet was shown a second yellow after a reckless challenge.

Ghana took advantage of the situation and put the game to bed in the 72nd minute, Evelyn Badu met a tailored cross from Mary Amponsah at the edge of the box to make it 3-0.

The 3-0 win the Black Queens the advantage heading into the second leg to be played in Ghana on Tuesday.
