Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak have learnt their opponents for the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup.
The two most successful clubs in Ghana will be representing the country in the two prestigious continental competitions as winners of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup.
Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League as winners of the Premier League, while Hearts of Oak will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup as winners of the MTN FA Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors have been drawn against reigning champions of the Burkina Faso Rail Club du Kadiogo in the first preliminary round of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League
Asante Kotoko will first host four-time Burkina Faso Champions between September, 9-11, before traveling to Ouagadougou for the return leg which will be played between September 16-18,2022.
The winner of the two-legged tie will play against the winner of the game between Garbone United of Botswana and AS Vita Club of Congo in the second round of qualification.
For Accra Hearts, they are amongst 13 clubs exempted from the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The Phobians will however face the winner of the clash between AS Douanes of Burkina Faso and ASR Bamako of Mali in the second round of the qualifiers.
The second round clashes are scheduled for October, 7-10 away and October, 14-17 in Accra.
