He later played for Portsmouth, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Sunderland, Pescara, Deportivo La Coruna, Albacete and Al-Ittihad Jeddah. Muntari won the English FA Cup with Portsmouth and the UEFA Champions League with Inter Milan under Jose Mourinho.
At national level, Muntari made 84 appearances for the Black Stars and scored 20 goals. He’s one of few African players to feature in three different FIFA World Cups.
Sulley Muntari will be available for Hearts of Oak’s Premier League clash against Great Olympics on Sunday.
