Dreams FC have confirmed that they’ll participate in the 2023/24 CAF Confederations Cup, a statement released on Monday revealed.
The Dawu-based side secured a ticket to represent Ghana in the next CAF Confederations Cup after beating King Faisal 2-0 at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Complex in Abrankese to win the MTN FA Cup a month.
In the statement, management revealed that it has already applied for and been duly issued the license by the competition’s licensing body to make its first-ever appearance in the prestigious continental club competition.
The statement read: “In its recent deliberations with Management, the Board of Dreams Football Club is pleased to announce to its various stakeholders the decision to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
“The club is eligible to play in Africa’s second-tier club competition following its historic feat in the MTN FA Cup.
“Dreams FC have already applied for and been duly issued the license by the instant body to make its first-ever appearance in an African club competition.
“Management is already working assiduously to present a formidable side for this task and now awaits the draw for the first preliminary round, expected in August, the statement ended.
