OFFICIAL: Black Stars Technical team and Management Committee dissolved

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced that it has decided to dissolve the Technical team and Management Committee of the Black Stars.

The decision comes in after an Executive Council meeting held earlier today at the GFA Secretariat in Accra to review the report from the aforementioned teams following Ghana’s early exit from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon.

The Executive Council at the meeting were dissatisfied with the reports and decided to part ways with Head Coach, Milovan Rajevac and also reconstitute the Technical team and the Management Committee.

“The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association has decided to part ways with Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac,” a statement on the FA’s website announced.

“This follows the receipt of the Technical Report from the Coach, the Medical Report and the Report from the Management Committee following Ghana’s early exit from the Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021 tournament.

“The Executive Council after considering the three reports and engagements with key stakeholders has decided to end its relationship with Coach Milovan Rajevac and also decided that the Black Stars Management Committee be reconstituted.

“The Association would like to thank Milovan Rajevac and the Management Committee the very best in their future endeavors.

The statement added that a new Technical Team and Management Committee will be soon be announced.

“The GFA will soon announce the reconstituted Technical Team and Management Committee after due engagement with all relevant stakeholders,” the FA said.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars will return to action in March for the final qualifying round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Nigeria.

The game will be played between Wednesday, March 23 to Tuesday, March 29. The first leg will be played in Ghana and the return leg in Nigeria days later.

The winner of the tie will earn a place at the 2022 World Cup to be played in Qatar between 21 November to 18 December.
