No Franck Etouga as 22-man Asante Kotoko team travel to Benin for RC Kadiogo clash

Ghana Premier League holders Kumasi Asante Kotoko have flown out Ghana for the first leg of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Burkinabe fold RC Kadiogo in Benin.

The Porcupine Warriors were scheduled to take on the Burkinabe Champions at the Stade de Yamoussoukro in Cote d’Ivoire on Friday, September 9 but the game has now been moved to the Stade de l’Amitié Général Mathieu Kérékou in Benin and will be played on Monday, September 12.

The Ghana Premier League holders left the shores of Ghana to Benin earlier today with a team of 22 players, comprising of 3 goalkeepers, 7 defenders, 5 midfielders and 7 forwards.

In the squad are the likes of Ibrahim Danlad, Steven Mukwala, Isaac Oppong, George Mfegue, Richard Boadu, Enoch Morrison, Richmond Lamptey and so on.

Notable omissions are Franck Etouga Mbella who’s currently nursing an injury, Stephen Amankona, Augustine Agyapong, Patrick Asmah and new signees Rocky Dwamena and Eric Zeze.
