Nine-man Black Starlets rally from behind to beat Spain

Ghana’s Black Starlets (Male U-17) defeated Spain 3-2 in the second game of the UEFA under-16 youth development tournament taking place in Serbia.

The Black Starlets found themselves a goal down in the opening minutes of the game but fought back to turn the game around and win 3-2.

Great Corinthians forward Benjamin Tsivano who was a scorer of a hattrick in the opening game against Serbia scored a brace, while Peter Hammond grabbed the other goal.

The Black Starlets finished the game with 9-men after two players were sent off in the second half.

The 3-2 win is Ghana’s second win at the UEFA under-16 youth development tournament. The team defeated host nation Serbia 4-0 in the first game.

Ghana will return to action on Tuesday, April 18 against Switzerland in the final game of the competition.
