Posted by betPawa Premier League kicked off the third and the 2023 edition of the Division One Super Cup at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex in Abrankese on Friday.
The game between the newly promoted Premier League sides attracted lots of fans and ended 1-0 in favor of Nations.
Nations FC dominated the first 45 minutes of the game and created numerous chances but failed to take the chances.
The Abrankese side continued to dominate the second 45 minutes and broke the deadlock in the 75th minute, substitute Ishmael Antwi found himself on the edge of the box before smashing home the winner.
In the second game, Koforidua Semper FI and Eleven Wonders played a scoreless draw. Despite lacking goals, the game wasn’t short of chances.
The competition will continue tomorrow, with teams in Group B clashing. betPawa Premier League returnees Bofoakwa Tano FC will face Skyy FC and Young Apostles FC play Nzema Kotoko FC.
