Mubarak Wakasu opens up on how it feels like to play against Messi and Ronaldo

Black Stars midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has opened up on how it feels like to play againt two footballers who are arguably the two greatest to ever kick the ball, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Wakaso, who now plays in China for Jiangsu Suning F.C. faced the duo in his time in La liga. He featured for Elche, Villareal, Espanyol, Las Palmas, Granada and Alaves in La Liga.

Speaking in an interview with Angel Sports, Mubarak Wakaso revealed his admiration for the two “unique” players. He went on to pick Barcelona’s talisman Lionel Messi as the most difficult opponent he has faced amongst the two.

“Anytime I am asked this question I will be honest”

“I have tackled both Messi and Ronaldo before. When you are marking Messi, you’ll never know what he does with the ball. You can never predict him. I love the two players but Messi is more dangerous with the ball.”

Mubarak Wakaso in January left La liga to play in the Chinese league for Jiangsu Suning. The combative midfielder is yet to make an apperance for his new club.

Wakaso left Spain as the most carded player in the 2019/20 La Liga season. He received 11 yellow cards and one red card.
