Posted by Asante Kotoko defeated Samartex 2-1 at the Nsenkire Sports Arena in Samreboi to end a run of 8 away games without a win.
The Porcupine Warriors after a decent start opened the scoring in the 19th minute through a fine finish from Enoch Morrison.
In the 28th minute, Asante Kotoko made it 2-0 through Rocky Dwamena. The goal came seconds after goalkeeper Frederick Asare pulled off two good saves to preserve Asante Kotoko’s 1-0 lead.
In the 90th minute, Ebenzer Acquah scored for Samartex to give the game a nervy finish but Asante Kotoko held on to win 2-1.
