Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has made his return to training following a 2-months layoff.
Kudus suffered an injury to his meniscus in his right knee in October’s UEFA Champions League game against English Champions Liverpool.
The 20-year-old underwent a successful surgery and was ruled out for “several months”.
However, the youngster has made a quicker return than expected and trained with the team on Tuesday, Ajax announced on their Twitter account.

Kudus joined Ajax in the summer from Nordsjaelland. The Ghanaian midfielder has been excellent since joining, picking up multiple man of the match awards. A progress which was halted by the knee injury he suffered against Liverpool.
Manager Erik ten Hag announced last Saturday after the 4-0 victory against PEC Zwolle that Kudus would be back soon.
“He is in his final phase of his rehabilitation,” Ajax Amsterdam trainer Erik ten Hag said after Saturday’s 4-0 victory against Zwolle.
“There is a chance that he will get into action quickly. We are certainly working towards that with him,” he added.
Kudus is likely to feature for the team in the next few weeks.
