Mohammed Kudus misses Ajax’s away trip to NEC Nijmegen

Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus has been ruled out of Ajax’s league clash against NEC Nijmegen.

The Dutch Eredivisie is returning after nearly a 2-month break due to the Qatar 2022 World Cup and Ajax will resume their chase for the league title with an away game at the Stadion de Goffert.

The Dutch Champions will head into the game without Mohammed Kudus who’s ruled out due to a flu. He’s joined on the sick bed for similar reasons by Steven Bergwijn and Steven Berghuis.

The absence of Kudus will be a huge blow to Ajax who are hoping to take advantage of PSV and Feyenoord’s failure to pick maximum points this weekend. In just 5 league starts, Kudus has scored 5 goals for the team.

The 22-year old is currently a transfer target for most top clubs in Europe. Per reports, the likes of Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and so on have registered their interest in him but Ajax are reluctant to sell him in this window.
