Austrian side Altach has confirmed the acquisition of Medeama youngster Nana Kofi Babil.

The 18-year-old will join the Austrian top flight club on a year loan with an option to buy.

Nana Kofi Babil made his Ghana Premier league debut just shortly after his 18th birthday, he managed to score 4 league goals and provided 3 assists in 12 appearances, with most of the appearances being sub appearances.

Sporting Director Christian Möckel of Altach welcomed the hugely talented Medeama pacy winger to the Austrian Bundesliga.

“Nana Kofi Babil is an incredibly fast and dynamic outside player who has already gained professional experience with his young years. He sees the SCR Altach as a great opportunity to gain a foothold in European football. We are convinced of it to be able to offer him the environment that he needs to take this step and develop his talent,” Christian Möckel said.

Babil couldn’t hide his feelings after he sealed the move.

“Moving to Europe is a dream come true. I would particularly like to thank the SCR Altach for giving me this opportunity. I would like to justify this trust and will do everything I can to help the club to be successful. I have already heard that the SCR Altach is one of the top addresses for the development of young players in Austria and that is why I decided to take this step,” Babil told the club’s website.

Altach will be Babil’s first club in Europe, a perfect club for his development.
